Special mention is made of individuals like Teacher and High Chief Augustine Aniobi, Mirioma na Nkerefi, Nwanne otu onye na Nkerefi, Chief Okaibe Oboma na Nkerefi, and His Royal Highnesses IGWE Sunday Onyekwere and IGWE Emmanuel Onukwube Ogu 1 of Enuogu Nkerefi. Dr. Njoku extends appreciation to family members, friends, and sponsors, including Ambassador Daniel Chukwu and Brother Vincent NWAGA.

In a subsequent message dated November 15, 2023, Dr. Njoku outlines the continuation of the New Yam festival. On October 29, 2023, the kindred will convene at their OBI (Ngidi) to share Aka okuku or Aka anu obuna EJI me emue Iri Ije Imeoha. The gathering serves as an opportunity to discuss vital issues that promote peace within the community. Each participant is encouraged to bring meat to share with fellow kindred members, fostering unity among families. Dr. Njoku emphasizes the importance of remembering every individual by name (Afam efuna) during the celebration. He suggests that some may choose to contribute wines and other beverages to enhance the festivities, considering the rarity of such occasions. Dr. Njoku concludes by invoking the peace of the Lord upon all participants, urging them to uphold and cherish their cultural traditions.

Enjoy the celebration!
